  About Us
Through the Foster Care Redesign, the Department of Children and Families, Partnership for Strong Families, Casey Family Programs, community residents and numerous community, government and faith based organizations are collaborating to safely reduce the number of children in foster care in North Central Florida by 50% by 2012.

The Department of Children and Families (DCF) -Circuit 3 and 8 (Alachua, Baker, Bradford, Columbia, Dixie, Gilchrist, Hamilton, Lafayette, Levy, Madison, Suwannee, Taylor, and Union Counties) is a government agency that is responsible for investigating reports of child abuse and neglect in 13 counties in North Central Florida. The organizational mission is to protect the vulnerable, promote strong and economically self sufficient families and advance personal and family recovery and resiliency. DCF provides funding to and collaborates with staff from Partnership for Strong Families to insure that strength based, family centered care and services are provided to families who are involved with the child welfare system.

Partnership for Strong Families (PSF) is a non-profit, community based care agency that provides information and referral assistance, prevention programs, voluntary and protective services, in-home services, foster home licensing and placement and adoption services in 13 counties in North Central Florida. The organizational mission for PSF is to enhance the community's ability to protect and nurture children by building, maintaining, and constantly improving a network of family support services.

Casey Family Programs (CFP) is an operating foundation based out of Seattle Washington. Their mission is to provide and improve-and ultimately to prevent the need for foster care. CFP is working with child welfare agencies throughout the nation to ensure that every child in America has a safe, permanent family. Their 2020 strategy calls for comprehensive change of foster care and the child welfare system and they are working with the state of Florida and Alachua and Duval County's to create system change that will strengthen families and prevent children from entering foster care.
